Dawson Creek Art Gallery 40th Annual Art Auction

This summer, the Dawson Creek Art Gallery is hosting its 40th annual art auction, “Come Fly With Me.” The event will feature art from a plethora of local artists, giving you the chance to bid on and examine some of the best art from our community. This a full evening out, with a dinner from Don’s Diner included, plus door prizes, and a live and silent auction. Grab your bidding paddle and head on down for a night of cultivated artistry.  

The 27th Annual Summer Cruise

It’s that time of year again! The Summer Cruise is one of the largest Show and Shine events in Northern B.C., showcasing the best rides across B.C. –  courtesy of our community’s collectors and car enthusiasts. Prepare to see any and all types of vehicles, ranging from retro rides to motorcycles, trucks, and one-of-a-kind, customized cars. The event is hosted by the Mile Zero Cruisers, a non-profit organization based out of Dawson Creek dedicated to putting on events to raise money for various charities and/or individuals in need in our community. Drive on down to downtown Dawson Creek this summer and attend this continuously cherished event to witness 400+ eye-catching vehicles. Previously sponsored by Discover West Tourism, the Summer Cruise is a pinnacle of summer events.

Dawson Creek Rib Fest

It’s back! Hosted by the Western Canada Rib Fest Tour, the Dawson Creek Rib Fest is the ultimate event for barbecue enthusiasts, meat lovers, and food connoisseurs alike. The event is free to attend, so your entire budget can go towards some succulent baby back ribs, short ribs, pulled pork or brisket. All paired with a country classic – coleslaw, and baked beans. Check it out and enjoy a day filled with great food and community camaraderie. Adults can also enjoy the on-site beer garden, and the little ones can explore activities for kids, like face painting!

Dawson Creek Exhibition & Stampede

Coined “The Greatest Show in the Peace,” the Dawson Creek Exhibition is a massive agricultural fair, rodeo and exhibition showcasing the best of the Peace River district. This year marks the 101st annual exhibition, highlighting an impressive 100 years of a strong agricultural community. Events will include all the typical rodeo classics like chuckwagon racing, junior rodeo, ranch rodeo and more. Additionally, the grounds will be set up with an array of fair activities ranging from a thrilling midway to a parade in downtown Dawson Creek on Friday. Enjoy the most significant event in Dawson Creek this summer, and experience a day of genuine rural fun.
